Le Teich Bird Reserve: slow down and spot more

Trails and hides through lagoons, marshes and reedbeds in the Leyre delta.

On the bay’s south-eastern edge, Le Teich protects lagoons, marshes, meadows and reedbeds. Walking trails and observation hides let you explore without heading into the birds’ space.

Make it a noticing game

Birds are only part of the show. Watch how water, reeds and open grass connect, and give a hide a few quiet minutes before moving on. Activity changes with the season and time of day.

Plan your loop

Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and binoculars if you have them. Stay on the paths, keep voices low and check the reserve’s current opening, route and access information before setting out.
